-
What neighborhoods do you service?Below is a list of neighborhoods that I cover. Ansley Park Candler Park Druid Hills Inman Park Lark Claire Lenox Park Midtown (Central & East only) Morningside Old Fourth Ward Piedmont Heights Poncey-Highland Virginia Highland
-
Can you medicate my pet?Yes. I am able to administer pills, ointments, nebulizers, and subcutaneous fluids.
-
What if there is an emergency?I will call you at the emergency numbers I have on file. If you or your emergency contact cannot be reached, I will take your pet to your vet listed on your Vet Release form for examination and treatment. If it is after hours, I will go BluePearl Pet Hospital. You will be billed for any extra time incurred.
-
Can you board our animal?Unfortunately, I do not have the facilities to board any animals and offer in-home care only. Benefits of in-home care include keeping your pet comfortable in an environment and routine they are familiar with, avoiding risk of infection or disease from boarding, and individualized attention and care plans. I also offer pet transportation to and from other daycare/boarding facilities.
-
Who will be performing my service?Andrea handles all services and does not use other employees or contractors. This means your pet gets a consistent presence and can develop a bond with Andrea versus having to adjust to a new person every time, and it also means she can get to know them and provide the very best service possible.
-
There are so many pet care businesses in this area, what sets you apart from the others?Mellow Tails LLC is the only Fear-Free certified pet sitting and dog walking business inside Atlanta's perimeter. Fear-Free is a higher level of pet-sitting care, and Andrea is trained in special Fear-Free strategies that help your pet have a more relaxing, enjoyable time, reducing stress for all of us. Andrea has a personal investment in your pet’s well-being, and your pet can create a bond with her through consistency versus having a different walker or sitter every visit. When the Fear-Free program is successful, everyone wins: animals receive excellent care in a relaxed environment, clients feel more comfortable leaving their pets, and overall safety improves. You can't find this level of care anywhere else in in-town Atlanta.
-
What is Fear Free? How does it benefit me and my pet?Fear Free is a program designed to prevent and alleviate fear, anxiety, and stress in pets through education and training for pet professionals and owners. It focuses on creating a relaxed environment for pets, which improves their emotional well-being and overall health. Clients should care about Fear Free because it leads to happier, healthier pets, making visits to the vet or pet care providers less stressful and more enjoyable for both pets and their owners. More details can be found on their website.
-
Will my pet receive individualized attention?Absolutely! My care is centered around your pet's physical and emotional well-being, and I cater my approach based on their comfort level. For example, some cats may love to play during a visit, while others may be preferred to be left alone or pet on their terms.
-
Are you fully licensed and insured?Yes! Mellow Tails LLC is licensed in the state of Georgia and insured.
-
How do you schedule dog walks and cat care visits?Scheduling is done through our state of the art app, Time to Pet! As a Mellow Tails customer, you can request services right from your phone, as well as receive report cards from each visit and pay your bill all through the app.
-
Do you have appointments available over holidays?Yes! Given the high demand for holiday care, these reservations must be made two weeks in advance.
-
I already know what service I’m interested in, what's the next step?Fantastic! Please contact Andrea by filling out the form at the bottom of our website or directly at 678.447.4673. From there, Andrea will be in touch to schedule your virtual intake and in-person meet and greet. We will schedule the virtual intake and meet and greet at your convenience, and they are free!
-
Do you accept last minute requests? We’re always happy to schedule pet care, even last minute; however, we cannot guarantee availability. To assure service, it’s best to schedule in advance (at least 12 hours before your desired appointment time).
-
How will I know how my pets are doing while I’m away? You will be updated after each visit with a picture or video and report on behavior, eating, and potty habits. If you have any concerns, you can call Andrea directly!
-
What is your cancellation policy?I understand life happens and try to be as flexible as possible! All cancellations made at least 24 hours before a scheduled service will be refunded in full. Given I'm a small business and it's just me, I will have to charge 100% for a visit cancelled less than 24 hours as it does not give me time to backfill the appointment time.
-
What forms of payment do you accept? All payment is submitted through our state of the art app, Time to Pet! Time to Pet accepts credit, debit, or ACH.
-
How much do your services cost? Please see my services page for pricing!
